1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and measure how it is used. We use cookies sparingly and only for purposes described below.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Essential Cookies (Always Active)

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They do not require your consent.

| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | |---|---|---| | session | Keeps you signed in while your session is active | Session (expires on sign-out) | | locale | Remembers your language preference (English or Spanish) | 1 year | | cookie_consent | Records whether you have accepted or declined analytics cookies | 1 year |

2.2 Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and where users come from. GA4 scripts are loaded only after you grant explicit consent via the cookie banner.

If you decline, no analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your consent preference at any time from the footer of any page.

| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration | |---|---|---|---| | _ga | Google | Distinguishes unique users | 2 years | | _ga_* | Google | Stores session state for GA4 | 2 years |

IP anonymization is enabled; your full IP address is not stored by Google Analytics.

2.3 Third-Party Cookies (Stripe)

When you access Stripe Checkout or the Stripe billing portal, Stripe sets its own cookies on your device. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy and are outside our control.

3. How to Manage Cookies

Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent the site from functioning correctly.

Our consent banner: Use the cookie preferences panel in the site footer to accept or decline analytics cookies at any time.

Google Analytics opt-out: You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent GA4 from collecting data about your visits across sites.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We currently do not respond to DNT signals, but we will update this Policy if we implement DNT support.

5. Mobile Application

The Maker's Yield & Cost mobile application does not use browser cookies. App-level preferences and session data are stored using secure on-device storage (SecureStore, not AsyncStorage).

6. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this Cookie Policy via the cookie banner or email at least 30 days before they take effect.
